If you are feeling the effects of low thyroid function, you are not alone. There are literally millions of people around the world today that are right where you are now, feeling the exhaustion and battling to make it through another day.
Unless you happen to know someone else who also suffers from low thyroid symptoms, chances are you are feeling as if no one understands what you are going through. It can be very frustrating when family members just do not get why you are staying so tired and lethargic.
To everyone else you may look fine, but when you look in the mirror you know that what you see is changing fast. You can see the tiredness all over your face. It gets depressed when you know that you are starting to look much older than you should. You can see that the way you feel inside is starting to show on your face. The dark circles under your eyes are getting worse and truthfully you look as though you have not had a good nights rest in a long time.
Having trouble sleeping is a problem that many people with low thyroid have to deal with on a regular basis. This lack of sleep just adds more aging to your face and your whole body. Your body relies on a good nights sleep to keep going and when your nights are restless, your days are even worse.
When you sleep your body goes through a process of healing and re-energizing its self. Often low thyroid function adds to making you tired by making it difficult for you to sleep well. This leaves your body feeling stripped and therefore will not function to its full potential.
Taking a sleeping aid is not the answer to your problem. You have to treat the root of your real problem before you are ever going to start looking and feeling better.
